Harbour City Software Pty Ltd (ABN 40 638 348 455) ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Six Again mobile application for iOS and Android and the sixagain.app website (together, the "Services").
You do not need to give us your name, email address, phone number, or payment card details to use the App. We do, however, collect pseudonymous identifiers and operational data needed to provide live score features, manage purchases and trials, understand App usage, and diagnose problems. Pseudonymous data does not directly identify you, but it can distinguish your App account or device.
What we collect
- App account and device identifiers - the App automatically creates a pseudonymous user ID and authentication token. We also process an App-generated device ID and basic device and App details such as platform, device model, operating system version, App version, and build number. On Android, we use the Android ID, package name, and build flavour to recover the same pseudonymous account after reinstall and to prevent free-trial abuse.
- Notification and live update data - Apple Push Notification service, ActivityKit, and Firebase Cloud Messaging provide tokens used to deliver notifications, Live Activities, and Live Updates. We store your followed matches and teams, notification subscriptions, and spoiler or live-update opt-out choices.
- Purchase and entitlement data - purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card or bank account details. We receive and store store-provided purchase or transaction identifiers, product information, subscription status, expiry information, and related entitlement data so we can validate purchases, restore access, and administer free trials.
- Usage analytics - we use TelemetryDeck in the App and on our website. It receives a pseudonymous analytics identifier, App interactions and feature usage, purchase status, and limited technical context such as platform, App version, first-seen month, install source, and device state. This information is collected automatically and is used to understand and improve the Services.
- Marketing attribution - we use AppsFlyer to measure which marketing campaigns lead to App installs, free trials, and subscriptions. On iOS, we configure AppsFlyer not to collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) or the iOS vendor identifier (IDFV). On Android, AppsFlyer may receive the Google Advertising ID where it is available and permitted; we disable Android advertising-ID collection for users in the UK, European Union, and wider European Economic Area. We also configure AppsFlyer not to collect the Android App Set ID, and we do not link AppsFlyer data to your pseudonymous App account. AppsFlyer receives an AppsFlyer-generated installation identifier; installation and App launch events; free-trial and subscription events with information such as product ID, price or revenue, and currency; basic device and App details; and platform attribution information such as the Google Play install referrer and Apple Ads attribution. AppsFlyer also receives your IP address, which may be used for attribution, approximate location, and fraud prevention. When an install or conversion is attributed to one of our advertising partners, limited attribution and conversion information is shared only with that partner to measure and improve our campaign. Advertising identifiers are used only for Android campaign attribution where available and permitted.
- Diagnostics - when unexpected errors occur and remote error reporting is enabled, the App may send us an error description, the affected feature, App and operating system versions, and a limited excerpt of the relevant server response. We use this information to investigate faults and improve reliability.
- Support communications - if you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include. The App's support email may pre-fill technical details including App version, device model, operating system, locale, purchase status, and your pseudonymous user ID. You can edit the email before sending it.
How we use this data
We use the data described above to operate and secure the Services, authenticate your pseudonymous App account, provide scores and notifications, remember followed matches and teams, validate purchases and subscriptions, administer free trials, prevent fraud and repeated trial use, measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, provide support, measure feature usage, and diagnose technical problems.
We do not show third-party advertising in the App, and we do not sell your data. Other than the limited install and conversion information we share with advertising platforms to measure our own marketing campaigns, as described above, we do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Service providers and data sharing
We use service providers to operate the Services. These include Cloudflare for hosting and backend infrastructure, Apple for App Store purchases and Apple push and Live Activity services, Google for Google Play purchases, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Installations, and Android Block Store, TelemetryDeck for analytics, and AppsFlyer for marketing attribution and conversion measurement. These providers process data on our behalf or as necessary to provide their platform services and may process data outside Australia.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the security or integrity of the Services, or as part of a business transfer. We do not otherwise share pseudonymous App data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data storage and security
Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. The App authentication token is stored in the iOS Keychain or in encrypted storage on Android. On Android, a copy may also be stored using Google Block Store with cloud backup enabled. These platform storage systems may preserve or restore the token after an App reinstall or device restore.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention and deletion
We retain pseudonymous account, device, purchase, trial, follow, notification, and preference records for as long as they are needed to provide the Services, maintain purchase access, prevent fraud or trial abuse, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Analytics and diagnostic data is retained according to our operational needs and the retention settings of our service providers.
Deleting the App removes most locally stored data, but it does not necessarily delete server records. The authentication token may remain in the iOS Keychain or Android Block Store and may be restored after reinstall.
You may request deletion of data associated with your pseudonymous App account by emailing [email protected]. Include the User ID shown in the App's Settings or pre-filled in its support email so we can locate the correct account. We will delete or de-identify data linked to that account unless we need to retain particular records for legal, security, purchase verification, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. Purchase records held by Apple or Google are controlled by those companies and are subject to their own policies.
Your choices
- Notifications - you can allow or disable notifications in your device settings.
- Live Activities and Live Updates - you can end an active update and change followed matches, followed teams, and spoiler choices within the App.
- Purchases - you can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
- Delete your data - contact us using the process described above.
Children
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide direct personal identifiers. The pseudonymous and technical data described in this policy is processed when any user operates the Services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
